Testosterone Replacement Therapy
Research continues to show that men are suffering from a decline in testosterone levels decade over decade. This decline in testosterone over the years is thought to be multi-factorial and includes chemical exposures, obesity, metabolic syndrome, sedentary lifestyle, stress, diet, and age. The average total testosterone value varies by age and falls between 250ng/dl – 1100ng/dl. Many men who have this checked in a clinical setting may be told they have a “normal value” despite having symptoms. In fact, most men who have symptoms may fall in the normal range, but still present with many of the symptoms of low testosterone. Men who have testosterone in the normal range (and below normal) may benefit from a supervised treatment plan to restore the body to optimal values. Remember normal and optimal are not the same thing.

The Process
We begin with a blood draw to evaluate your baseline hormone levels. For local patients this can be drawn at our office and for out of town patients any Labcorp site may be utilized. Once received a consult either in person or virtually to review labs will occur to discuss and begin treatment. Medications and supplies will be shipped directly to your home from a certified compounding pharmacy. Outside of initial lab work, pricing is all inclusive in terms of medication, injection supplies, labs, and follow-ups--NO surprise costs.
The most common method of administration is the subcutaneous (SQ) self-injection which is both simple and quick. Detailed instructions are given on this method and patients are always welcome schedule a private in-office or virtual demonstration.
Here at Thrive Health & Wellness we strive to make the process and ongoing treatment simple and low stress for the patient. We keep track of your medication supply and automatically order refills which again are delivered directly to your home so there are no interruptions in your treatment. Patients are provided a business contact number to the provider where texts can be sent with any questions or requests 7-days per week. Our practice is and will always be responsive and patient-focused.
